Our parents and pupils have been helping to support Mental Health Awareness Week in school.

The pupils have all really enjoyed the various activities and talks throughout the week and it has led us to some really positive discussions.  Please find attached photos of some pupils demonstrating their newly acquired yoga skills to the representative of Stratford Mind charity.

I'm very proud to say that our non-uniform fundraiser raised £168.00 for our local branch of 'Mind'.

I was really astonished to find out that the Mind charity in Worcester and Warwickshire are their own hub, called Springfield Mind.  They do not receive any funding from Mind head quarters.  As such their fundraising is what sustains them and the donation we gave today makes a huge difference.

The support they offer in the wider community is awesome, they gave our children hand-outs about small steps they can take now to help them have a healthy mind.

To promote healthy playtimes, we will be implementing a 'Regulation Station' at the school.  This will consist of alternative activities for pupils who feel the need to have a quieter break.  Activities such as colouring and puppets have been suggested by the pupils.  This will perfectly compliment the colouring club which runs twice a week at lunch times.
