Hello and welcome to our class
We are a mixed year 5 and 6 class
English: Our English work this term will be based on a variety of texts including information texts about animal adaptations, classic poetry and stories from other cultures, with a focus on the story of 'The Pearl Diver'. We will continue to use the 'Talk for Writing' process this term to help pupils develop their writing skills in a range of fiction and non-fiction text types.
Maths: Number work will focus on: multiplication and division, developing efficient arithmetic skills, improving accurate recall of number facts, fractions, decimals and percentages. Reasoning & problem solving using number, shape, space and measures will be ongoing this term.
Geography: Biomes, climate zones and vegetation belts
History: Early Islamic Civilisation
Computing: Using technology safely, respectfully and responsibly; using search technologies effectively and be discerning in evaluating digital content.
